The Healing Headsets / Caregiver Covenant
The Alive Inside Foundation, is honored to join hands with you, the caregivers of our precious elders. Together, we will awaken the hearts and minds of those living with dementia.
Through the gift of Memory Player headsets, filled with music that stirs the soul, we will reach our elders, and bring them back to the beauty of life.
Music is memory, joy, and the voice of the spirit. By offering these headsets, you connect your elders to their deepest selves, to their stories, to the light they carry within.
I AGREE to join a crusade bringing individualized music to those with memory loss.
1. Program Overview
I will help connect my senior’s to music from their past utilizing wireless Memory Player headsets. Donated by MemoryWorx & Alive Inside Foundation, these are designed to provide a positive distraction and stir joy.
2. My Vow
- As a champion for those with memory loss, I will be a determined detective and gather musical preferences of each listener. I will use the form provided by Alive Inside. I will identify family members, staff or volunteers who will assist in finding the music. I will Encourage caregivers to use music to help elders cope with agitation, aid in bathing or eating, smooth out visits to the doctor’s office, & help with sundowners!
3. Nuts and bolts
- I will train care partners on the Memory Player: play buttons, charging cord, etc. - setting them up for success at home.
- I will build empathy, compassion & deeper insight for my elder through this project.
- I will sustain the life of the Memory Player, so others can use them.
- I will develop a simple LOAN program to reach more elder’s.
- I will find 2 people who will consent to sharing a before and after video of the elders, receiving a Memory Player. I will send these videos to Kelly at Alive Inside. Videos will be sent to kelly@aliveinside.org within 3 weeks of headset receipt. This is THE ONLY FEE for this service.
4. Alive Inside Commitment
- Alive Inside & MyMemoryWorx will load your Memory Player with your music and ship it out for Free!!!!!!!!!!!
- If you have someone willing to do the music loading, we have a free webinar on how to use the Alive Inside App (www.AifApp.com).
- We want this program to be a gift for the listener and the staff! The time we invest in carefully editing and loading the playlists takes many hours. It is Kelly’s and Alive Inside’s mission to spread this to as many locations as possible in the year ahead. Volunteers are also welcome.
5. Senior Center/ Adult Day / Commitment
- We will appoint a staff member to champion getting the preference forms completed.
- We accept that Alive Inside will hold our requested headsets for 12 business days after we commit. Having a deadline makes it all happen!

6. Success Metrics
- I will send Kelly a Video of 2 different clients engaging with their Memory Player / Headset
- I will gather and share testimonials from loved ones, staff or volunteers.
- I will Document favorable changes in person’s well-being (such as eating, sleeping, mood, energy)
- Tell others in the industry about the upside of what you experience.
